Jewellers Guild of Greater Sandringham, Overview 2016
Join us for the next round of ‘drinking about jewellery’, a space and time for a communal debrief.  The Jewellers Guild of Greater Sandringham has been dedicated to pairing quality contemporary jewellery discussions with finely crafted beer for nearly a decade.  Our vision is simply to unveil the working of the Guild, chips, beer and all, and to open up what we already do to a wider group.  ‘drinking about jewellery’ events are casual, unmediated affairs. They are about “bringing together a motley assortment of people trying to push ideas from neutral grounds into the unknown” just done in kiwi style.  You can trust it will be low key and welcoming.   Feel free to grab some mates and stage your own jewellery infiltration*.  Jewellery infiltrations occur when multiple guild members attend a public event wearing the work of one maker.

(ABOUT THE ARTISTS)

The Jewellers Guild of Greater Sandringham is comprised of conceptual and actual jewellers, passionate about jewelleryness. Known, mainly for the creation and dissemination of the Overview newsletter, we are headquartered in the Auckland, New Zealand suburb of Sandringham. The ‘greater’ refers to the many tendrils reaching members across the globe. We believe in fostering local contemporary jewellery and the archive as a political tool.
