Keepsake
Keepsake is an exhibition documenting moments in time—traces captured between night and day, work and home, travelling from one place to another. The quiet moments when we consciously pause and ruminate before ‘busy’ takes over.
As a quiet repose to our hectic lives, this exhibition will explore the personal, quiet moments found in our urban environments, striving to capture small moments of sublime in the everyday. In a unique combination of painting and jewellery practices, Keepsake will showcase intimate oil paintings on copper by Kirrily Hammond and contemporary jewellery and photography by Sim Luttin.
This exhibition will take place at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre Mess Gallery, from 9 August – 22 October 2017. A Radiant Pavilion opening event will be scheduled for Saturday 26 August from 2-4pm, with accompanying artist/curator talk on Saturday 26 August at 3pm.
