Oomph!
Oomph! is an interdisciplinary collaboration between jeweller, Bin Dixon-Ward and photographer, Giulia Giannini McGauran. Through an exhibition of jewellery and large-scale photographs of CREATIVE women, the collaboration represents an exuberant interaction between jewellery, space and colour.

About the Artist
Bin Dixon-Ward A graduate of RMIT, Gold and Silversmithing, Bin has exhibited in Australia, Europe, Japan and North America and is the recipient of several awards for her jewellery including the Dianan Morgan Post Graduate Award 2016, Itami Award and the Toowoomba Contemporary Wearables 2011 Student Prize. Exhibitions include, Melbourne Now, a the NGV, Schmuck, in Munich, The Future is Here at RMIT Design Hub and A Fine, Possession and The Future is Here at the Powerhouse Museum and most recently her solo exhibition The Captain’s Daughter as a part of the Art &Industry Festival. Her work is held in public and private collections including the National Gallery of Victoria, The RMIT McMillan Collection, The Powerhouse Museum, Sydney, and Musee des Artes Decoritifs, (The Louvre) Paris. Bin teaches digital technologies at RMIT.
Giulia Giannini McGauran Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Drawing at the VCA in 2013, Giulia Giannini McGauran has continued on to develop work and exhibit in Italy, North America and Melbourne. Including exhibitions Blindside X and the Alliance Francaise Melbourne, her work is held in the City of Port Phillip art collection as well as several private collections. Giulia’s has two areas of creative interest, Tongues and Portraiture with both developing simultaneously. Giulia works and collaborates with several visual artists and musicians In 2017 she is undertaking a residency in Barcelona to complete her Tongue series investigating the similarities between the surface of tongues and the forms and formulas present in Gaudi’s architecture.
