The practice of the artist expands upon aesthetics of Chinese landscape painting and free-forming approach in object-based materials. This exhibition showcases jewellery and objects that are crafted and presented as artefacts of imaginary landscapes.

(ABOUT THE ARTIST)

I am currently a PhD student major in Gold & silversmithing in RMIT University, I am interested in the historical and contemporary role of jewellery and objects and how it can be used as an alternative format to depict different concepts and ideas. The material studies of my research investigate in how to use object-based materials to depict the aesthetic of Chinese ink painting and other Chinese traditional arts. My current research project explores reimagined Australian landscapes, Chinese ink painting, and jewellery & object.
