Selection Criteria

Radiant Pavilion encourages a strong consideration of the context and presentation of contemporary jewellery and object, along with diverse and collaborative ways of making, cross-disciplinary practice and new presentation methods.
  • Projects must be based in contemporary jewellery/object practice. Collaborative projects across disciplines are eligible but the connection must be evident in the proposal (e.g. artists working to the same theme, artists responding to the work of another, or work made in collaboration).
  • Projects must take place in the Melbourne CBD or inner metro area, or online, between 4 - 12 September 2021. Events can run shorter or longer than these dates, so long as they are accessible at some stage during Radiant Pavilion.

When assessing proposals the Selection Committee will consider:
  • Artistic merit
  • Considered presentation methods
  • Project viability:
                    - Capacity for a meaningful outcome to be delivered under COVID-19 restrictions
                    - Past record of projects
                    - If the project involves working with the public (e.g. a workshop), how will this be facilitated?
                    -
If the project involves working in a public space, have relevant council and stakeholders been contacted for information on costs, permits etc.?
