Terms & Conditions
Projects must have a basis in contemporary jewellery and object practice. Cross-disciplinary projects are eligible but the connection must be evident in the proposal (e.g. artists working to the same theme, artists responding to the work of another, or work made in collaboration).
Projects must take place in the Melbourne CBD and inner metro area and be accessible between 26 August to 3 September 2017 (excluding one-off events, e.g. artist talks, open studios).
Presenters are responsible for all aspects of planning and delivery of the Project, including, but not limited to, sourcing and securing of venue, installation of artworks, insurance, taxes and any and all costs related to the Project. Radiant Pavilion is not liable for any costs associated with projects.
Presenters may be involved in more than one project.
If the project takes place in a public space, such as streets or parks, the Presenter must secure any necessary permits and approvals from the relevant source (please note that these often take several months to be approved). If these are not obtained in a timely manner before the event Radiant Pavilion reserves the right to remove the project from the program.
Presenters are strongly encouraged to carry liability, personal injury, and theft insurance for all artwork, and the personal protection of the Presenter and the Presenter Parties.
Presenters will ensure that all the work shown is original and in no way constitutes an infringement of copyright, moral rights or other rights by a third party. Radiant Pavilion will not be held liable for any legal action as a result of work being presented.
Events that are unable to be presented due to unforeseen circumstances will not be included in the Radiant Pavilion program. Any withdrawal from the program within three months prior to Radiant Pavilion 2017 will not have their Administration and Participation fees refunded.
All proposals selected for the program must pay a Participation fee of AUD$40 per selected project (AUD$30 for students).
Late and/or incomplete proposals will not be accepted.
Decisions by the Selection Committee are final.
Proposal outcomes will be notified by 21 November 2016.
