Terms & Conditions

Projects must have a basis in contemporary jewellery and object practice. Cross-disciplinary projects are eligible but the connection must be evident in the proposal (e.g. artists working to the same theme, artists responding to the work of another, or work made in collaboration).

Projects must take place in the Melbourne CBD and inner metro area and be accessible between 7 - 15 September 2019 (excluding one-off events, e.g. artist talks, open studios).

Each Project must designate one Presenter to liaise with Radiant Pavilion, from the proposal stage through to acquittal, at the time of application.

Presenters and Participants are responsible for all aspects of planning and delivery of the Project including, but not limited to, sourcing and securing of venue, installation of artworks, insurance, taxes and any and all costs related to the Project. Radiant Pavilion is not liable for any costs associated with Projects.

Presenters and Participants may be involved in more than one Project.

If the Project takes place in a public space, such as streets or parks, the Presenter and Participants must secure any necessary permits and approvals from the relevant source (please note that these often take several months to be approved). If these are not obtained in a timely manner before the event, Radiant Pavilion reserves the right to remove the Project from the program.

Presenters and Participants are strongly encouraged to carry liability, personal injury, and theft insurance for all artwork, and their personal protection.

Presenters and Participants will ensure that all the work shown is original and in no way constitutes an infringement of copyright, moral rights or other rights by a third party. Radiant Pavilion will not be held liable for any legal action as a result of work being presented.

Presenters must provide final information about selected events including dates, event description, promotional photographs, secured venue and participating artist bios no later than 15 March 2019. Projects that have not submitted this information will be excluded from the program with no refund of Administration or Participation fees given.

Events that are unable to be presented due to unforeseen circumstances will not be included in the Radiant Pavilion program. Any withdrawal from the program within three months prior to Radiant Pavilion 2019 will not have their Administration and Participation fees refunded.

All proposals must pay an Administration fee of AUD$15 if submitted before 21 September 2018 or AUD$20 thereafter.

All proposals selected for the program must pay a Participation fee of AUD$100 per Project (AUD$85 for students).

Late and/or incomplete proposals will not be accepted.

Decisions by the Selection Committee are final.

Proposal outcomes will be notified by 19 November 2018.
